Samunos This matters to the story but I still found the tale tedious and overwrought. So any chance of finishing this book was pretty much doomed from eljjahova start. No trivia or quizzes yet. I figured the twist in the story as soon as the main character arrives in the war zone.

Kehn I found this book to be whiney and repetitive at first. No trivia or quizzes yet. A difficult, haunting read. Gripping look at war, and the effects on the people involved. This book is not an informative story about how Richard Richter survived the war. As it turned out, the effort was worth it. A Kindle First A framed story with the nested narratives of a diary, a mystery slowly unraveled, glimpses of WWII history, and a meticulous resolution are the positives. I think this book could have been a third shorter if the seemingly endless woe-is-me foreshadowing had been reduced.

This has not influenced my review. Interesting read though it can be slow moving at times. The main plot and twist in the book no worries, no spoilersrelies on foreshadowing; it was something I predicted was happening just a little over igr there. This book is not yet featured on Listopia.
